Day 1· Sat, 31 Oct

Roll Out in the Afternoon.

2:30 PM — Meet at the Cycle Shop, near the Bir Landing Site

No long briefings, no bus rides to a starting point — you show up at the landing site, we hand you an e-bike, and we roll. The pedal-assist means you don't need to be a cyclist to keep up. You just need to want to be outside.

Afternoon:

  • Gear up and quick e-bike briefing at the Cycle Shop
  • Group circle - meet the other riders
  • Set off toward Sherabling Monastery on paved forest roads
  • Regular stops for photos, breath-catching, and pine-scented air

6km one way, Mostly Downhill on the Way Back.

Paved roads, pine forest, e-bike assist

The ride to Sherabling winds through pine forest on smooth paved roads. With the e-bike doing the heavy lifting on the climbs, this is less about endurance and more about noticing — the smell of pine, the sound of your own tyres, a Himalayan skyline that keeps sneaking up between the trees.

Sherabling Monastery.

Chanting session at 3:30 PM

We park the bikes and walk into one of Bir's most significant Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, timed to arrive for the 3:30 PM chanting session. Sit in, listen, and take it in at a quiet pace before we saddle back up for the ride back.

Ride Back:

  • Depart Sherabling after the chanting session, retrace the route back to the landing site
  • Return the e-bikes to the Cycle Shop by 5:30 PM
  • Bikes handed back, riding officially wraps up

Sunset at the Landing Site.

5:30 PM – 6:30 PM · a short walk from the Cycle Shop

With the bikes returned, we walk over to the landing site and settle in to watch paragliders drift down as the sun sets behind the Dhauladhars. The activity officially ends at 6:30 PM.

Optional — Dinner Together.

Evening, at a pre-decided spot in Bir · self-funded

The ride and sunset wrap up by 6:30 PM, but if the group's vibing, we'll head to a pre-decided place for dinner in the evening — everyone pays their own way. No pressure to join, just an easy way to keep the day going a little longer.
