Inside the forest of Binsar, 10 strangers will live together for 3 days. We walk in. We watch sunsets in silence. We slow down. This is not a sightseeing itinerary. This is a shared forest experience.

Itinerary

Day 1Β· Thu, 28 May

Leave the Noise Behind.

8:30 PM β€” Depart from Delhi

We begin with intention. Travel in a push-back AC tempo traveller with your group. One small ask - bring a vegetarian snack to share on the road. It's your first act of community.

What the night looks like:

  • Ice-breaker conversations as we settle in
  • Slow music and easy company
  • Dinner halt on the highway
  • No chaotic party energy β€” just a good beginning

Day 2Β· Fri, 29 May

Walk In. Slow Down.

8:00 AM β€” Arrive in Binsar, Uttarakhand

We don't drive to the door. From the road, we walk 1.5 km through the forest to reach our homestay β€” backpacks on, no vehicles. Pine trees, fresh air, and birdsong. This walk is intentional. It's the moment the city falls away.

Morning:

  • Check-in and freshen up
  • Group breakfast at the homestay
  • Journal distribution β€” your companion for the trip
  • Slow settling in β€” no schedule, no rush

Afternoon:

  • Home-style lunch prepared at the homestay
  • Rest, naps, chai, and unhurried conversations

Evening:

  • Sunset walk through the surrounding forest
  • 5 minutes of collective silence watching the sky change colour
  • Back before dark

Night:

  • Dinner at the homestay
  • Optional games or bonfire
  • Easy, low-key conversations
  • Early sleep under the quiet of the forest

Tonight, we reset the nervous system.

Day 3Β· Sat, 30 May

Live Like You Belong Here.

6:00 AM β€” Wake up to birdsong

We step out early for a waterfall or river walk β€” on foot or bicycles depending on the group. Along the way, we run a small cleanup drive. We leave the forest better than we found it. Then back for breakfast, together.

The Mystery Event

Afternoon

Every Alternate Travel trip includes one experience nobody sees coming. It won't involve sightseeing. It will involve hands, stories, and something deeply rooted in the place. Come curious β€” and a little hungry.

Late Afternoon β€” Village Walk (where accessible):

  • Visit a local home
  • Conversations about life in the mountains β€” migration, winter, daily realities
  • The kind of exchange you won't find on any itinerary

Evening:

  • Reflection circle β€” share what the day stirred
  • Bonfire
  • Dinner
  • Easy conversations and early rest
Last breakfast together

Last breakfast together

Day 4Β· Sun, 31 May

Take the Forest Back With You.

Wake up slowly. Optional quiet walk. No agenda. One last breakfast together before we pack up and head home.

Closing Ritual:

  • Mandatory journal entry β€” at least one page. It matters.
  • Group reflection β€” what shifted for you?
  • Short video message or review (optional but appreciated)
  • Surprise goodies to carry home
  • Optional lunch before departure

1:00 PM β€” Depart Binsar

Back in Delhi by 10:30–11:00 PM.

You return home the same, but not quite. A little lighter. A little more grounded.
